The Information Theory Chapter aims to promote local activities in information theory and related fields, and serve as a bridge between the IEEE Information Theory Society and the local community. The Chapter sponsors technical seminars and conferences from time to time. Chapter members are active researchers and students in the field.

The 2008 Network Coding Workshop will be held Jan. 3rd-4th in Hong Kong. Registration is free, as are the three free tutorials.
