Dah Ming Chiu received a B.Sc degree from Imperial Colleage London and a Ph.D. degree from Harvard University in 1975 and 1980 respectively. After twenty years in industry (Bell Labs, DEC and Sun), he is now a professor in the Department of Information Engineering in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interest includes network economics and architecture, P2P networking, and wireless networks. He serves as an associate editor for IEEE/ACM Transaction on Networking, and is regularly invited to serve on the Technical Program Committee of ICNP, Infocom, CoNext, IWQoS, and recently Sigcomm as well. Dah Ming is an IEEE Fellow, recognised for his "contribution to distributed resource allocation algorithms in computer networks".
